The perfect place for surfing, sightseeing, shopping… or simply sunbathing
Just half an hour’s drive from Fuerteventura Airport, Corralejo is the ideal holiday destination for families, foodies, adrenalin junkies and sun worshippers – at any time of year.
Water sports are among the most popular pastimes, but the town also offers fantastic sightseeing, wonderful restaurants, designer shopping and more than 8km of white, sandy beaches.
After dark, Corralejo’s varied bar scene comes to life, with live music, DJs and cocktails.
Natural wonders
The ever-shifting sand dunes of Corralejo’s Parque Natural are Fuerteventura’s most famous natural attraction. If you’re an adrenalin junkie, the best way to explore them is on an organised quad bike or buggy excursion.
Beautiful beaches
Corralejo is known for its 8km of white sandy beaches. From the small Town Beach right by the harbour to Galera Beach with its beach bars and safe swimming, or ‘Hotel Beach’ - nestled between the two Rui hotels - with its gradual decline into turquoise waters, there really is something for everyone.
Surf’s up
Corralejo is an amazing place for water sports enthusiasts. Flag Beach offers some of the best surfing, windsurfing and kiteboarding in Europe, while elsewhere in Corralejo you can sail, snorkel, scuba dive, jet ski or paddle board.
Make a splash
The only water park on the island, Acua Water Park has rides and slides for all ages – including the Lazy River, the Splash Race Track and two Kamikazi Slides that will transport you at up to 30mph! An activity pool with organised games, a kids club and a range of dining options make this a great day out.
A boat trip to an exotic island
Just off the coast of Corralejo, Isla de Lobos is an exotic, deserted island with a small volcano, beautiful sandy beach, and flora and fauna you won’t find anywhere else on earth. Boats depart Corralejo harbour throughout the day – or charter a catamaran for an unforgettable day trip.
Live music in the old town
The old town is the spiritual heart of Corralejo. Its narrow streets are lined with seafood and tapas restaurants – and at its centre is Plaza Felix Estevez, known locally as ‘music square’. Most nights, the square comes alive with music, dancing and entertainment.
Bars and restaurants
The streets around Corralejo’s main street, old town and seafront are home to a varied selection of bars and restaurants. You’ll find craft beers and cocktails, wonderful tapas and seafood – and a wide range of international cuisines.
